Administrative Services
The Administrative Services Division is the responsibility of Lieutenant Jim Tilton.
Lieutenant Tilton holds a bachelor's degree from Washburn University. Lieutenant Tilton has a number of areas of speciality ranging from special tactical response, firearms, officer survival, reality based training, community security, and domestic terrorism.
The Administrative Services Division oversees the Animal Shelter as well as managing the records unit for the police department. Lieutenant Tilton also oversees the training for all three units of the department and helps coordinate the new officer recruiting and training program. Lieutenant Tilton is also assigned to assist the police chief with the Office of Professional Standards (OPS). OPS is responsible for inspection of operations of the department and to test the various policies and practices to ensure compliance and accreditation standing.
